Beats Music not just a streaming service

Ben Popper sits down with Beats Music CEO Ian Rogers to discuss the company's new streaming music service.

The Verge recently interviewed Beats Music CEO Ian Rogers to discuss how Beats Music sets itself apart.  Ian Rogers says that he really doesn't see that Beats Music has a lot of competition because they are not just a streaming service. Also because they don't have a free service they are fundamentally different and that the free model is what makes these other services not profitable. The Beats Music product and approach is also intrinsically different in that they have a large group of human curators and not just algorithms to help with users getting appropriate suggestions and playlists.

I personally believe that with leadership like Jimmy Lovine, Dr. Dre, Luke Wood, Trent Reznor and Ian Rogers, , its partnerships and its brand that Beats Music is the future of how users will purchase, personalize and experience music.
